Siemens Energy IT Business Partner in Gibsonton, Florida

As an IT Business Partner, you will act as the interface between the Business and IT at the Siemens Energy Gibsonton manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding the customer and ensuring their IT concerns are being addressed. An IT Business Partner should possess a strong technical understanding of IT topics, excellent communication and project management skills, and familiarity with manufacturing environments.

How You’ll Make an Impact

The Siemens Energy Gibsonton facility is a 200,000 square foot modern manufacturing and engineering facility that produces blade castings for Gas Turbine engines. Our products power the world.

As a paperless shop, IT plays a critical role in the success of factory operations. You will make an impact by supporting and improving the IT services and value we deliver, including two hundred shop floor PCs, a suite of manufacturing applications, Industrial IoT, and extensive network infrastructure. You will be responsible for meeting regularly with stakeholders in the factory to stay aligned on their IT needs and delivering solutions with a customer service mindset.

  • Technical Troubleshooter: Put your technical expertise to work by troubleshooting IT and shopfloor systems; Identify and resolve technical issues promptly, minimizing downtime and keeping our operations running smoothly.

  • Project Management and Administration: planning, executing, and controlling local IT projects.

  • Innovation and Futureproofing: Stay at the forefront of technologies by staying up to date with the latest trends and developments - Your recommendations will help us continually improve our shopfloor operations.

  • Connectivity and Data Mastery: Configure and maintain IIoT devices, sensors, and gateways, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity and efficient data collection - You'll be a vital part of the team responsible for keeping our IIoT ecosystem running smoothly.

  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including manuals, user guides, and operating procedures - Your work will ensure that knowledge is shared effectively across the organization.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years professional IT experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong IT skillset (including troubleshooting, application support, networking, cybersecurity, and hardware)

  • Project Management experience

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and persuasion skills.

  • Able to work well in a team environment and independently.

  • A proactive, curious, persistent, and self-organized approach, as well as a willingness to take responsibility.

  • Ability and flexibility to work across different time zones to connect with globally distributed stakeholders (e.g., USA, Germany, India).

As a global company, Siemens Energy has a large corporate IT organization supporting the company’s success. The spear-tip of that IT organization is the team supporting our manufacturing environment.
