Siemens Energy Sales Operations & Strategy Business Partner - Power Systems Sales in Orlando, Florida

A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)

In this role, you will partner with our Gas Service and Grid Technologies business leaders and organizations to drive initiatives, create strategies to handle current areas of opportunity, create metrics to track and monitor the business and sales effectiveness, ensure adequate marketing materials are created to enable the account management team to represent Siemens Energy appropriately.

The individual who will be successful in this role will think strategically, find is easy to build rapport with colleagues, is organized, driven, and a team player. This individual will also enjoy a challenge and can think outside the box to generate ideas and turn those ideas into reality. This is not a business development or sales role, rather a role that enables those positions to be more successful.

How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)

  • Work with leadership to drive strategic sales initiatives and ensure successful implementation.

  • Establish and maintain metrics to track and report on initiative status.

  • Coordinate roll-out of initiatives to the sales organization to ensure that the business areas and PSS are coordinated.

  • Participate in business area strategy discussions and explore areas for growth while being the voice of the power generation customer base.

  • Collaborate with account management organization to enable you to provide voice of the customer insight to the businesses you support.

  • Work closely with departments with the Gas Services, Grid Technologies, and Smart Infrastructure businesses, such as marketing and product development, internal sales, etc. to align sales strategies with company goals.

  • Create market outlook documents and analysis for power generation customer base, across portfolio, to be leveraged by PSS.

  • Develop communications, marketing material, and trainings, where necessary.

  • Ensure adequate and appropriate sales materials have been compiled and are presented in a meaningful way to sales.

What You Bring (requirements)

  • Experience partnering with internal business leaders and organizations to drive business, overcome obstacles, track & monitor business & sales effectiveness is required.

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or a technical discipline with 8+ years of experience. Candidates with more experience may be considered for a higher level.

  • Power Generation, transmission, grid, distribution, and/or electrical experience highly preferred.

  • Solid understanding of the utility / power generation customer base.

  • Balanced understanding of engineering and commercial concepts desirable.

  • Individuals who will be successful on this team can expect to:

  • Roll up their sleeves and make an impact with both day-to-day and unique project related work.

  • Work with a sense of urgency and coordinate with a variety of people i.e.: sales, strategy, business development, application engineers, financial, etc.,

  • Work independently and take initiative to complete projects.

  • Understand technical information and concepts then communicate those to non-technical individuals.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
